4517 Retrieval Methods
- Method 1: After the lure hits the water, take up slack line. Keep rod tip pointed down and retrieve at a steady speed until the lure reaches the surface, then repeat.
- Method 2: Twitch the rod tip during retrieve to give the lure an erratic escape action. Pause and retrieve again, repeating until retrieved.
Sinking Series Operating Techniques
- 45mm Sinking: Sinks at 5 sec/meter in clear water. Suitable for all water layers. Use intermittent retrieves with pauses to allow sinking, or a steady retrieve with gentle rod tip pops to create an undulating, wave-like swimming action towards the surface.
- 5mm Slow Sinking: Gently twitch the rod tip as it slowly sinks to increase attraction to target fish. Can also be retrieved at a steady speed.
Floating Series Lure Technique
- Suitable for 45/65mm floating lures in summer shade, weed beds, shallows, and around rock obstacles during post-spawning feeding frenzies.
- Upon entering the water, keep rod tip pointed upward at about 45° and retrieve slowly.
- Alternatively, point rod tip down toward the water surface and retrieve with variable speed, pausing in between; retrieve again when the lure surfaces.
