Instructions for Use

  • Thread the PE line through the metal guide tube.
  • Secure the PE line in the line clamp slot.
  • Wrap the PE line around the spool line slot 15-20 turns.
  • Adjust the tension knob to a suitable tightness (do not over-loosen to prevent detachment during knotting).
  • Pull the PE line tight and adjust to a suitable length (approx. 30 cm / 12 in).
  • Hold the PE line and fluorocarbon leader line together and wrap around your right hand.

Knotting Tool Instructions

  • Wrap the other end of the fluorocarbon line around your left hand, placing the tip of the threading tube near your right index finger.
  • Rotate the knotting tool to wrap the PE line around the fluorocarbon line, using your hand to assist in wrapping 4-5 turns.
  • After wrapping 4-5 turns of PE line around the fluorocarbon line, hold the line end with your thumb and wrap in the opposite direction.
  • After assisting with wrapping 4-5 turns, rotate the knotting tool and continue wrapping.

Knotting Instructions

  • Wrap to the appropriate length, approximately 8–12 cm.
  • Remove the excess line from the knotter or cut it off, leaving about 30 cm reserved.
  • Use the cut PE line end to tie knots around the fluorocarbon line about 4–6 times, then trim close to the fluorocarbon line.
  • Use a lighter to heat and melt the reserved fluorocarbon end, burning off the tag end.
  • Continue tying 6–8 knots with the cut PE line around the main PE line.
  • Knot to a suitable tightness, ensuring the finishing knots are snug with no gaps, then singe the line end to finish.
