Water Depth & Float Size: 1-8 m water depth uses B-0.8 float size; 8-10 m water depth uses 0.8-1.5 float size; over 10 m water depth uses 1.5-4.0 float size.
Casting Distance & Float Size: 0.8-1.5 float size for 10-30 m casting distance; 2.0-3.0 float size for 20-50 m casting distance; 4.0-6.0 float size for 30-60 m casting distance; 7.0-8.0 float size for over 50 m casting distance.
Selection Tips: Use larger floats for deep or fast-moving water, and smaller floats for shallow or slow water. Beginners are advised to start from 5B.
Buoyancy Matching: Float buoyancy = underwater sinker weight + split shot + accessories + bait. Underwater sinker is usually 1 size smaller than the float (e.g., 2.0 float pairs with 1.5 underwater sinker). Use a smaller sinker if using larger bait.
Waterproof Tip: Ensure the float cap is tightened securely. Check rubber O-rings regularly and apply petroleum jelly or hand cream on the ring to improve waterproof seal.
