How to Choose the Right Iso Float Model for Your Fishing Style

  • Float Model/Sinking Power: Iso float models range from 000, G, B up to 1.0+. Buoyancy capacity and lead load capacity increase gradually with size. Smaller models hold less lead; #000 floats set up a negative buoyancy sinking rig in saltwater. Smaller floats have lower total buoyancy, offering higher sensitivity to subtle bites.
  • Three Iso Float Shapes:
  • 1. Top-bulge float: High sensitivity, lower stability; best for calm waters.
  • 2. Middle-bulge float: High stability, lower sensitivity; best for wavy or choppy waters.
  • 3. Bottom-bulge float: Hydrodynamically designed for high sensitivity in moving water; best for fast currents.
